Tenderpixel Gallery is pleased to present new paintings and selected prints by London based artist Nicholas Phillips. Phillips' hyperrealist painting technique incorporates and capitalises on photographic limitations such as perspective, range of focus and shutter speed creating breathtaking moments of stillness and beauty. The ephemeral effects of Phillips' use of texture, lighting and shadow dance upon the viewers imagination as they study every square millimeter of his immaculate paintings. The series of work displayed at Tenderpixel this August will include Phillips latest paintings Dark Star and Donnafugata. Both works were inspired by Giuseppe di Lampedusa's novel The Leopard, a haunting survey of a man, his times, his inheritance, and his demise.
