Nicholas Phillips

Dark Star

7 August until 27 August 2008

PV: 6 August, 7 - 9pm

Phillips' hyperrealist painting technique capitalises on limitations in photography: perspective, range of focus and shutter speed. The series of work displayed at Tenderpixel Gallery will include his latest paintings Dark Star and Donnafugata. Both works were inspired by Giuseppe di Lampedusa's novel The Leopard, a haunting survey of a man, his times, his inheritance, and his demise.
