The series Unknown Tongues explores the possibilities for conveying meaning, beyond the use of conventional spoken language. What other ways are there to communicate and construct a system of knowledge? How can we build up agency and create a sense of communing, informed by ideas surrounding activism, and against the dominant political discourse?
Negotiating the materiality of the voice and gestures, we look at rhythm, dance, movement, performance, text, sound and other types of languages to understand and articulate processes related to togetherness and change.
